Vehicle Fire - Woodyard Road, Caroline County Md.

Early Saturday morning at 05:00 hours Caroline County Fire Board dispatched the Marydel Fire Company for local box 5-4, for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 56-1 went responding with a crew of 5, officers 56-24 (J. Madden) and 56-16 (Simonsen). Chief Madden also went responding. Chief Madden arrived to an automobile off the roadway fully involved, passing command to engine 56-1 officer. Engine 1 went on location, officer 56-24 established Woodyard Rd. Command. Crews quickly deployed the front 1-3/4 front trashline and extinguished the fire. Command requested Maryland State FMO (fm-66). Command placed box under control, terminating command and returning engine 1. Officer 56-15 remained on scene till arrival of fm-66.
