MVFC & Ladies Auxilary Mourns The Death Of - John Albert Vonville

The Officers and Members of The Marydel Fire Company extend our sympathy to the friends and family of John Albert Vonville. John Albert Vonville transitioned from this life to his heavenly life on Sept. 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. Born on July 6, 1955 to his since deceased parents, Charles and Lillian Vonville from Sudlersville , Md. John is survived by his wife Phyllis LePore Vonville of 29 years; daughter Kimberly Wood and husband Greg of Marydel Md.; son, John Vonville II of Morgantown W.Va.; daughter Denise Crossley and husband David of Sudlersville Md.; and son Anthony Vonville of Marydel Md.; grandchildren, Greg and Gaige Wood, Emily and Elyssa Crossley, and Kayden Vonville; his brother, Pud Vonville; and friend Helen Knotts of Sudlersville Md; his sisters Dorothy Kimble and husband Richard of Goldsboro, N.C.; Betty Pearson and husband Roger of Clayton Del.; Barbara Gorski and husband Kevin of Felton Del.; and several nieces; and nephews. John graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in 1973. He worked at Delmarva Sash and Door for 28 years and at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Facility for ten years. He was very active at the Marydel Fire Company. John enjoyed his motorcycle, crabbing and eating crabs, hunting with his friend Buddy, traveling with Phyllis, watching the Shore Birds and horse races, and spending time with his grandchildren and his Lab Remmy. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Marydel Fire House. Service will be held at the Marydel Fire House at 11 a.m. on Friday officiated by Pastor Roland Coon with interment in the Greensboro Cemetery.
