engine transfer sussex county station 82 - Lewes

On Thursday July 23rd 2009 the Marydel Fire Company sent one engine to Lewes Fire Company Headquarters at the request of Lewes fire department due to the passing of member Jim Monahan. As engine 1 arrived at station 82 they got hit out for a water rescue. Crews from Georgetown, Marydel quickley went to work. Georgetown's crew manned the fire boat while marydel and ambulance 93 staged at the ferry terminal. Crews returned to station 82. After settling in around 2:00am they were alerted to assist station 86 (Rehoboth) with a working trailer fire. After returning back to station 82 they were able to get a good nights sleep. Our condolences go out to the members of station 82 and the monahan family.
