Outside Fire in the QA 6-11 Box

On March 8,2017 MVFC was alerted to respond to the QA 6-11 box for report of a small outside fire. Brush 56 with a crew of 3 and Engine 56-4 with a crew of 4 made the response. Brush 56 arrived to a 50'x10' foot area of brush burning along a headrow. 56-25 (Lofland) estabished Bear Pond Road Command. Brush 56 and QA Brush 6 quickly extinguished the fire and performed overhaul. Engine 4's crew assisted with overhaul and water supply. Command placed situation under control. Forestry was contacted for investigation. MVFC units returned to service.
