It started as "hey you should get Sam Grow to play at your firehall" After contacting Joe (Sam's Drummer) and talking with him about availability and pricing, we came up with an idea of having him play on wing night. Joe had already scheduled the band to play the following night at Cowboy Up in Dover. Joe thought it would be cost effective for us to have them the same weekend. I put a message on the facebook page asking for input from the community. After a week or so I still wasn't sold on the idea. Joe called and asked if I had made a decision. I told Joe I'll give it a try, and I am glad I did. Sam Grow and company not only packed the house, but they are a class act band with a lot of talent. Our event was a total success not only because of Sam but because of the community who support Sam and our Fire Department. We exceeded our expectations as more than 550 people showed up to the event to support us.
