On Sunday afternoon November 27, 2011 Kent Center alerted the Marydel Fire Company for a rescue assist station 48 on a serious mvc with entrapment. Ambulance B-56 was added to the call prior to the request for the rescue, they were returning from Kent General Hospital from a previous run. Rescue engine 56-3 went responding with a crew of 6, officer 56-16 (Simonsen). Command 48 advised kent center they had patients extricated from first vehicle and were preceeding with extrication of 2nd vehicle. As rescue engine 56-3 arrived, command had them set up a landing zone for DSP Trooper 2 Heavy. Command placed situation under control after Trooper 2 heavy transported one patient. Command released rescue engine 56-3 and B-56. Crews returned to service.
