On Saturday morning at 10:53am Caroline County alerted the Marydel Fire Co. to assist station 700 for a working field fire with an exposure to a structure. Officer 715 had Bee Tree Road command. Crews from ambulance B-56 assisted brush 705 with extinguishment, while tanker 56 supplied engine 702. Equipment cleared and returned to station. While members were cleaning trucks and restocking hoses on apparatus, Kent Center alerted Marydel Fire Co. for a woods fire on Grygo Road. Officer 56-15 (Madden) went P.O.V., Kent Center advised of a rapidly spreading woods fire. 56-15 then requested additional brush / tanker assignment out of station 51. Brush 56 arrived and started to make an aggressive attack, tanker 56 arrived, established a water supply, engine 4 arrived supplied brush 56 and additional lines were pulled for further extinguishment. Brush 51 arrived and assisted with extinguishment in the woods. Command requested an additional tanker, bringing station 41 to the scene, Command also requested a 2 piece engine transfer bringing station 43 and staion 44.Simultaneously Caroline County alerted Marydel and Goldsboro Fire Companies for a vehicle fire on Henderson Road. Officer 715 responded P.O.V., since only being a mile away waiting at the earlier incident for Forrestry. Officer 715 arrived to find a pickup truck fully involved with the field on fire and rapidly spreading. Command requested additional resources. As units were cleared from Grygo Road they were sent to Henderson Road. Crews made a quick knockdown. Units on scene included Caroline County sta 80, 300, 400, 600, 700, Queen Anne's Co. Sta 5, & 6, Kent Co. De. sta 41, 43, 45, 51. On Sunday February 20th Caroline County alerted the Marydel and Goldsboro Fire Companies for another working woods fire on Marvel Road. This incident also turned out to be another multi state, multi jurisdictional incident.
