On Friday afternoon Kent Center alerted station 56 to assist station 41 with a vehicle fire. Engine 56-1 went responding with a crew of 8, officer 56-17 (Olechny). Units assisted station 41 units with extinguishment. After engine 1 cleared and filled its water tank station 41 was alerted for a structure fire on Mud Mill Rd. Officer 56-17 (Olechny) asked Kent Center if they wanted them to respond since they were right around the corner. Engine 56-1 arrived to a 2-story SFD with smoke showing. Command 41 arrived momentarily and established command. Tanker 56 was requested and went responding with a crew of 2, Officer 56-16 (Simonsen). Engine 1's crew's assisted with extinguishment of fire in chimmney and checking for extension. Units were released and cleared.
