On Saturday June 19, 2010 Kent Center dispatched the Marydel Fire Company along with Station 51 (Hartly) for a reported structure fire, 4000 Westville road. Kent Center advised operations would be on K-tac 4. Engine 56-1 went responding with a crew of 5, with officer 56-16 (Simonsen). Kent Center distpatched / added station 41 (Camden Wyoming) for the tanker. While enroute officer 56-16 requested a tanker from Caroline County Station 700 (Goldsboro), due to the large plume of smoke from the area of the fire. At that time Kent Center advised all units that they were recieving several calls, it was reported as a garage fire quickley spreading to the house. Chief 56 went responding with 2, officer 56-15 (Madden), Tanker - 56 went responding, as well as the rescue 56. Engine 56-2, with officer 56-23 (Olechny). Chief 56 arrived to a single story sfd with the garage involved and severe exposure to the house. 56-15 established Westville Road command, and immediately request another tanker company bringing station 48. Command advised engine 1 to pull in the driveway, drop a four inch supply line and deploy two 1-3/4 attack lines. Crews quickley started an agressive attack on the garage and inside the house. Engine 51-3 arrived. Command had engine 51-3 pull in to the driveway west of the scene and nose up, and pull another attack line going inside the house. Command had engine 56-2 drop a supply line and supply engine 51-3. Tanker 56 arrived and picked up the supply line for engine 1. 51-15 was assigned interior and had crews make a good knock on the house. Command advised all units of partial roof collapse in the alpha - Bravo corner. Engine 41-3 and 41-4 arrived, command had them pull into the driveway just east of the scene and make an attack on the Charlie side. Engine 41-4 laid a supply line and supplied engine 41-3. Engine 703 arrived and command had thier manpower assist with extinguishment. Tanker 706 arrived and supplied engine 56-2, while tanker 41-5 arrived and dropped its load into tanker 56. Engine tanker 48-5 arrived and supplied engine 41-4. Command had officer 715 (Bartz) in charge of water supply. Due to extreme temperatures command requested more manpower, bringing Station 46 (Dover) with Rescue 46 and engine 46-3. Engine 48-2 arrived and started assisting with extinguishment and overhaul. Ambulance B-56 and B-51 set up rehab at engine 1. Rescue 46 and engine 46-3 arrived and thier manpower assisted with overhaul. Command placed situation under control with units working. Units on scene included; engine 56-1,56-2, T-56, Rescue 56, Ambulance B-56, Engine 51-3, 51-7, B-51, Engine 41-3, 41-4, Tanker 41-5, Engine 48-2, Tanker 48-5, Engine 46-3, Rescue 46, Caroline County engine 703, Tanker 706. DSFMO fm-13, Delaware Electric Co-op. Station 43 transferred 1 engine to station 51, while Caroline County station 600 transferred one engine to station 56
