Assist Station 51 with a working house fire - 2120 Gunter Road

On Tuesday April 27, 2010 at 22:58 hours Kent center alerted the Hartly and Marydel Fire Companies for a reported trailer fire. As engine 51-3 went responding kent center advised of a working alarm and switched operations to K-tac4. Officer 51-16 requested and additional tanker, rit assignment and a engine transfer for his station. This would bring Dover for the Rit, Station 41 for the tanker company, and Station 43 for the engine transfer. Engine 56-1 went responding with a crew of 7 with officer 56-17 (Melvin), the tanker went responding with a crew of two with officer 56-16 (Simonsen), Engine 56-2 went responding with a crew of 6 and officer 56-23 (olechney). 56-17 requested an engine transfer for station 56. Caroline County station 700 (Goldsboro) was alerted to transfer one engine to station 56. As units approached scene command gave assignments to units. Engine 1's crews assisted with extinguishment inside the house, while the tanker assisted with water supply, and engine 2 assisted with extinguishment in the crawl space. Fire was quickley knocked down as units began to arrive, Rit team was set up in front yard by Dover in front of engine 1. Station 41's crews assisted with overhaul efforts, while command had engine 41-4 transfer to station 51 and tanker 41-5 transfer to station 56. Situation was placed under control by command and units cleared shortly. Units on scene include; engine 51-3, 51-5, Rescue 51, command 51, ambulance c-51, engine 56-1, 56-2, Tanker 56, ambulance B-56, Dover engine 4, engine 41-3, K.M.-7, engine 41-4 @ station 51, engine 43-2 @station 51, engine 702 @ station 56, Tanker 41-5 @ station 56.
